No. Apostilles are done by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. They have a separate department for it. there are various apostille services online is that the right service? because I see a number of other services eg.hague aposille and others

Another thing is I was asked to get an 'apostille' on the decree absolute, before submission The decree absolute already has a red stamp on it from family division of high court (done at the time). How does an apostille differ from the stamp already there? I was thinking of getting another copy of the decree absolute from the court for my records and so I do not sent off my only copy but

thanks, that is a big relief! I was told that I cannot change the abroad town on the decree absolute, as the divorce is too old. I filled out the petition wrong (I will not explain long-winded why I made the mistake, but it was a genuine mistake and actually a very understandable one) The town is now important, as I have to get the divorce recognized in the country I was married in. a

UK divorce from 1990s. Petition was filled out slightly wrongly, as marriage was abroad and wrong place of marriage town put down (not a mis-spelling) Does that invalidate a divorce? As only just realized, due to needing to dig up divorce for another matter.

divorce, over 15 years ago, do they ask for the original marriage certificate for divorce details? I do not remember submitting the marriage cert, possibly it is my mistake? It was my birth town that went on there instead, so it was a genuine mistake, it was not some random town.

divorce was in UK and married in another euro country and has wrong place of marriage on it (different town) now I want to also get the country of marriage to acknowledge the divorce, but cannot, as the marriage cert and divorce cert place names do not match. it was a very long time ago, but will be on records and I have copy of divorce certificate will UK simply change and issue an ame
