Hi, I have a date in July for the final hearing for the financial side of things.my husband has decided he wants to bring bank statements to show he paid a substantial amount into my bank account in the past 5 years of us being together. My husband was always secretive about money and has hidden a lot since our split. The money he did put into my bank was for house improvements and things which h

Yip FH for me too probably sometime in April. 3 times I've been into court and 3 times I have came out wondering why I was so nervous and scared! FH seems the most terrifying though! My husband has hidden nearly all our assets and it's cost me a fortune trying to prove it! (To no avail). Good luck ❤ xxx

I am in the same boat as yourself and it is frustrating believe me! My husband and I have been in court 3 times and every time he has been asked to disclose the new bank accounts he opened after he closed the old ones after I left! He has just ignored everything he's been asked to do. We are now going for the FH in April. My barrister was changed 3 days before my last court date and I'm pretty su

Just had word yesterday that I won't be having the barrister from the last FDR (adjourned) and I'm a bit frightened incase he doesn't know what's been happening so far! My stbx is really playing dirty and this has been going on nearly 2 years. I feel ill with all this as it is without this worry on top. Q... will he be up to date with all this mess? Thanks x

I hope someone on here can give you the answers because I'm quite sure there are others in a similar situation as yourself. I do know that should your husband mess around too much he will stand to lose more than he bargained for. Maureen x

I think you really need to get your name on the land register like yesterday! It cost me £80 I think! I gave my husband too many chances and that gave him time to do the dirty on me. As in hiding assets! I'm 55 years old and all I really asked for was enough for a deposit on a private let and a wee bit for furniture but that was too much to ask in his eyes so now he's been caught and probably

Hi blissfaery, im in the same boat as yourself but much further down the line. My husband hid all the savings we had which he thought that would be easy considering everything was in his name only! He denied having any pensions on his form e but as it turns out he has 5. The first thing I was told to do was to put my name on the land registry as soon as possible which I did. At the first FDR I h

Hi, just a quick question. When an FDR is adjourned through the respondent husband being found to have hidden pensions, savings & investments will this mean we go onto the final hearing or would the next hearing be another FDR? We don't have our Nisi yet and understand the judge couldn't sort out the money side anyways! Thanks in advance x

It's great to hear outcomes and also good to hear that judges can see through some people's actions. Fingers crossed I have a judge just like yours at my second appointment

My stbe has just handed in his form E on the 1st of September when we were supposed to exchange by the 17th of August! He closed down 2 bank accounts days after I left him in August last year. He has on his formE that he does have a pension of 66k that he started on the 17th of October last year! Q1. Should I waste my time asking if we can see what were in those accounts before the separation?

Sabapink... I feel for you because I have my first hearing in 2 weeks time too! My stbe hasn't even declared his finances which were meant to be exchanged nearly a month back! And my solicitor is also on holiday. My paper work has all got lost and my ex is defending this divorce. It's so frustrating and makes me ill. Keep your chin up and good luck X

I always seem to loose my point in the message... There are so many other ways he has been unreasonable and so would that not be sufficient? Controlling in not letting me go up Scotland to see family? Controlling with money? Didn't even like me talking in Scottish jargon! Is it still better to have a witness for the physical abuse? Can never get a hold of my lawyer honestly.

I'm using an English lawyer so the law I am abiding by is the English law. Scottish law has nothing to do with any of this. Laymens terms is all I'm looking for in all of this. Yes I am angry and upset and probably "in an ideal world" just praying for this all to end soon. Thank you bubblegum for your input it has helped.

1. Therefore I'm going to have to travel all the way to Newcastle from Scotland (chose an English lawyer because Scottish law is so different) for nothing? And cancel my holiday that my daughter paid for me and my granddaughter because the court date is slap dab in the middle of the holiday!... 2. Honestly not joking when I say he is a narssicist and can't be seen to be a failure at anything he

Hi. I have a date to attend court for a financial order in September but no date yet for step 2 in my divorce! My husband is defending the divorce even after telling his lawyer that the marriage is irretrievably broken down! (Waste of time and money). My Q's are... 1. The money part shouldn't be sorted out before the divorce is that correct? 2. What can he possibly gain from defending the div

I lived with my husband for 13 years before getting married 3 years ago. We have lived in 2 different houses during this time and he would never put my name on them. He didn't like me working so my jobs never lasted longer than a few months but he worked abroad 6 months of the year, he refused to have joint names on any of the bank accounts he had even the ones abroad! I had my own bank account t
