Asset split and abuse

After several years of anti social and unreasonable behaviour, I have filed for divorce. Married 7.5 yrs, 2 young children. We own our own house (about 35% equity) He's in the military and due to move so I will provide the permanent home for the children. I also work. We both have reasonable pensions and he has a property in his name from before we were married, We use the income from that property as part of household budget.
He thinks 50/50% split or 40/60 is reasonable and leave all other assets out of it. My solicitor says it won't work like that. Do you have any guidance about how it might pan out?

Also, he won't move out and there is domestic abuse (emotional, psychological, some financial) which is affected myself and the children. Do you have any advice which could mean he would move out? sad smiley

You have a solicitor. No doubt your solicitor will be giving you advice on precisely these issues.
