Financial Papers with errors
wolv3rene - 17 October, 2017 06:08PM
Just a quick one.
I have received a statement of information for a consent order.

All is in agreement however the forms have errors on them, amounts and names of loans.
To me a legal document should be correct before signing but my ex's solicitor is saying it's fine and they will change it once they get it, surely this is bad practice, I'm right in not signing aren't I?

Happy to sign them when corrected

Well, if you have it in writing that it will corrected that should be sufficient but it is a matter for you whether you want to insist that it is corrected before you sign.

Thanks Terry
I have told her I am not signing it.

Her and her solicitor are not to be trusted, she broke the trust barriers long long ago, shes not to be given another chance, I feel sorry for the guy shes with at the moment, poor bloke is going to get fleeced.

Ha ha
They sent the right forms back, I signed the agreement and since it's gone back her solicitor wants me to disclose newer bank statements, yet he's fine with hers of course even though they are months out of date, it's hilarious, sometimes I think I'm divorcing her solicitor rather than her.

>>her solicitor wants me to disclose newer bank statements,

In the absence of a formal disclaimer by the client your wife's solicitor would be potentially negligent in not asking for such documents.
