Offer of settlement
karen9764 - 21 September, 2017 07:47AM
When declining an offer of settlement do I have to give reasons and / or make a counter offer ?

I would also like to hear an answer to this.
I have just declined and offer - didn't give a reason, and didn't give a counter offer.

You don't have to give a reason or make any counter proposals BUT if you do neither what hope is there of reaching agreement? Good faith requires some attempt by both sides to at least make some sort of effort to reach agreement.

Thank you David, however I don't intend agreeing to any settlement he proposes without him disclosing the six policies he has not disclosed!
