Ex possibly hiding money
John86 - 07 July, 2017 12:37PM
My ex and I still have a joint bank account that she uses as her main bank account (wages, bills etc.) so I can see all her transactions.

I have noticed she is paying less towards her debt and withdrawing cash quite regularly (averaging £1k a month). I have suspicion she is planning on giving the money to her parents until the divorce has blown over. Is there anything I can do about this?

You will be entitled to ask where £1,000 in cash has gone every month and she will need to give an explanation.

Remember, though, that you shouldn't count on that just in the abstract. You do need to take steps to get the financial issues arising from the marriage settled because only within that context can you insist upon answers.
