SOLE OWNER OF MARITAL HOME, EX WANTS TO MOVE BACK?

Help please.. I am sole owner of marital home I moved out last November due to emotional abuse from ex partner, I left on the knowledge of him taking over mortgage repayments, only to find out nothing has been paid since. I've contacted mortgage and they told me to move back in asap, this I have done and ended my 12 month rental agreement early. My ex partner told me he had moved out in FEBRUARY to be with new partner. Now I have moved back in things have turned extremely sour with him demanding everything from property, and I have done so, to him now threating to move back in knowing I've got a new partner.
He has left me is massive amounts of debt.
Can he just move back in? divorce has been going on for five months three months ago I signed divorce papers he petitioned for it why is it taking so long.. Any help would be grateful

It's your house. You alone get to decide who lives there. Get anything that can be called his out of the house and change the locks. He can register an interest in the property so you can't sell it without getting the financial side of your divorce sorted out. However that is the limit of his rights as I understand it. (I AM NOT A SOLICITOR)
