Husband thinks he can get away with all the maintenance and split of house if he declares bankrupt? Is that right?

If your husband is thinking of going bankrupt before you divorce/get financial order, you need to get legal advice quickly. Timing could make all the difference in your position.

But how can he when he has a lump sum saving account and currently owe a house, has mortgage though. It just makes no sense to me and he has zero debt lol. His only debt he was thinking was solicitor fees from going to the court. That is if we can't make an agreement, the it will have to be court we are heading to. He's saying if he can't pay solicitor fees then he would have to declare bankrupt
