Home rights order, can wife rent out 2 bedrooms
howells1972 - 12 February, 2017 11:08PM
Hi guys
Going thru divorce and I have a home rights order against our home, I'm not on deeds or mortgage. We have a son but he's mine from previous relationship. Ex wife solicitor pushing for us to find alternat e accomadaton.
Council found us a small 2 bed property.
Nos my ex is complaining that the mortgage payments have gone up as her fixed rate has ended. She's saying she's going to be taking in 2 lodgers, mother and son. Is she allowed under the home rights order to do so and would I be entity to any of those profits.
Thanks guys by

Would you prefer her to take in two lodgers to help her pay the mortgage or for you to pay her maintenance so that she can pay it? How do you know whether there will be any profits? That would only happen if they were paying more in rent than the cost of the mortgage.
