online divorce or face to face solicitors?
Bbaby - 27 January, 2017 12:34AM
Hi I know nothing about their profession, but just want to know how much they charge roughly per session or hourly? Or however they calculate? I know the fees are very expensive so I'm considering online divorce if any one has had experience?

If my husband decides to defend case or play up, any idea how much I will have to pay to reach the final end of the divorce?

In my experience the divorce is relatively quick and inexpensive to process and finalise.
The costly part is if you cant agree on the split of finances and access to children, and these two are separate to getting the decree absolute.

The court fee to issue a divorce petition is currently £550. I think most solicitors these days charge a fixed amount for a divorce. Settling the finances is different. Unless everything is agreed usually a solicitor can only charge for that part on a time basis.
